Our Story
About
Verb Coffee began in 2018 with a simple mission, and a small coffee bar parked inside a modest space at 410 Church Street in downtown Concord, North Carolina. Founded by Gabriel and Danyelle Risinger, the vision was straightforward: create a coffee experience unlike anything Cabarrus County had seen before.

Growth eventually led to an expanded café space, giving the team room to dream bigger. It was during this season that the company began roasting coffee in-house and adopted the name Verb Coffee, a name that reflected the belief that coffee is more than a product; it's something active, relational, and shared. Coffee creates movement. It sparks conversation. It brings people together.

Today, Verb Coffee continues to grow from its current home, constantly refining its coffee program, developing new menu offerings, and introducing fresh seasonal concepts. The commitment to quality remains the same as it was on day one: serve exceptional coffee, create meaningful experiences, and continually pursue excellence.

We're grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey so far, and we're excited for what comes next. Thank you for being part of the story.
